This Log is to document some of Chao's (and apparently Keiji's) Plans that never were for many plot twists in Compile Worlds. The purpose of their documentation is for trivia and archival, but it is also so the ideas can be recycled and used later, if desired.
Accord Arc
- After Accord was burned alive, Popoi was originally intended to take over as the villain, Accord's final words setting the stage perfectly. However, Ekoro had just been unveiled and introduced into the RP at the time, and Black Amendment was also absent due to hissy fits he and Keiji threw over the fusion of Project Nanako and Pikachu and Squirtle...
Ekoro Arc
- During the climax of the arc, the final battle with Ekoro, Ekoro had attached himself to Zeta's incubation chamber. Though Draco and the clones winded up kicking him out of it, the original intention of this was to create a second, more powerful and delirious form of Ekoro to fight before his final death and the collapse of his base.
Plot Lull
- Strange Klug almost appeared during the ADMA dinner party to initiate the next arc. However, at the last minute, Chao decided not to have a Strange Klug arc begin.
The Meteor Arc
- Ms Accord and her Students were going to appear in more prominent roles, now that the characters were separated. Nope, it never happened.
- Ekoro's return was in the works before the Amalgamation even began, with Strange Klug hinting about it more and more over the course of the arc. Originally, a conflict over the orb was planned, with the end result being the orb breaking. However, it was delayed until the Amalgamation due to the epic plot twist of Satan being behind the events in the arc.
The Amalgamation
- Gypsum was originally intended to have the ability to manipulate the earth, explaining how she could get the Abysian minerals Angol Mois needed for his Angolium. However, by the end of the arc, it was pretty well established that Gypsum was going to end up as the comedy relief in Angol's team, not having any special powers.
- At one point, Rulue was going to learn that Satan had wed to Doppelganger Arle, which would prompt her to join Arle Nadja in beating the shit out of him.
- The scene in the Crystal Caves was planned to be a little less cliche than it turned out to be, but apparently Chao fails at epic plot twists when he plans them out in advance...;;
- The Professor and the Color Changer of 1000 were considered to be added as brief cameos as the Puyo Wars cast began migrating to Primp. This failed to happen because Chao didn't want to have the entire Wars cast to himself and end up in a 2-Page self RP between one of these two and Daichi/"Sho".
- Once again, the return of Popoi was contemplated when Black Amendment returned to the site shortly before the arc's end.
- Epic Word clusters suggested that Alpha was going to create another clone. Chao considered who he would use as the model of the clone. Many characters, including Amitie, Daichi, and Raffine among others, were considered.
- Unusual Ekoro was scheduled to make an appearance as a seperate entity to his blobby counterpart.
SHAME
- At one point, a scene where Angol gathers Amitie, Arle, Daichi and Ringo to (needlessly?) seal away the Planetary Gods of Gaias was considered.
- Another part of Angol's plan was Angol using Daichi as a meat shield or blackmail against any attempted attacks by Marin and Sho.
- Angol's original death scene (yes, he was going to die anyway) involved Daichi first breaking free of his possession, and then teaming up with Team Marin in order to defeat him.
- Angol would have assumed his demon beast form for this fight.
- Which then would have had to be retconed due to the ending saying he can't do that anymore, so this plan is probably best left to never be.
- Angol would have assumed his demon beast form for this fight.
- A scene in which Alpha reveals his nature as a clone to a shocked Daichi was planned, but obviously now moot since he'll be meeting the real Sho again soon...
- Raffine was meant to appear along with Amitie and Sig, to form a pseudo "Fever Team" with Rider and Lemres, but once again, a character was avoided due to Chao not wanting to play Raffine.
- Keiji's original plan for SHAME was to not have any late entries into the tournament, and get it down to two fairly well balanced teams (Satan's and Arle/Marin's), who would then duke it out (in the same arena style battle that did happen), and then be interrupted by Epic Plot Twist Spoilers. However, when (Black) Sig exorcised Ekoro's Possessor and decided to join the tournament, it royally screwed everything up since the three smaller teams had no plausible interactions between them, making the Arle vs. Satan battle the only sensible choice for the next episode.
- As such, we now have a ginormous team out there that's going to be sitting around doing nothing for the rest of the tourney, because the team's so big they will just curb stomp anyone now.
- Chao has suggested something might split them up to avoid this issue, but this might just be delaying the inevitable.
- As such, we now have a ginormous team out there that's going to be sitting around doing nothing for the rest of the tourney, because the team's so big they will just curb stomp anyone now.
- Also in the epic arena battle, Keiji had intended to have Eltia turn Feral at some point, but this never happened.
- He also intended to have the Eltia vs (Real) Arle battle be one of those energy beam push-of-wars and end up destroying the entire arena before settling the match, but at this point both the characters and the players (well, maybe just Keiji) were getting far too tired for that.
- Quite how he was going to accomplish this when the battle was supposed to be interrupted by EPTS is a mystery in itself.
- He also intended to have the Eltia vs (Real) Arle battle be one of those energy beam push-of-wars and end up destroying the entire arena before settling the match, but at this point both the characters and the players (well, maybe just Keiji) were getting far too tired for that.
The Gathering
- At least two of the Puyo Spirits, Ralie and possibly Unda, were meant to be male. However, after Charyl's introduction, Keiji decided they all had to be female, so only Ralie kept his "gender" due to having been designed prior to that point.
- Manga panels Chao drew as hype for Episode 51 showed Ecolo looking at someone with a fearful expression, questioning his conversational partner about a mention of being killed. This scene was originally meant to be Fake Arle killing Ecolo for his blunders. However, the way it panned out was that Ecolo died immediately after he was defeated in Whitespace, as opposed to afterwards in Fake Arle's still unknown lair.
- The same manga panels also showed Fake Arle introducing Neo Angol as the ultimate lifeform. While this scene still happened, she never used that specific wording.
- Back in The Almalgamation, Feli foresaw a "Great Catastrophe". Originally, this was just a false divination based on the then unknown outcome of SHAME, but it has since evolved into a reference to a future, though still unknown plot part that will happen in the arc of the same name.
- Eldora was meant to be freed from her prison, like finally, in this arc, but unfortunately it will have to wait until next arc now.
- Neo Angol wasn't meant to die in the initial encounter with him. However, Chao couldn't really argue with Omega rolling a fucking lucky twelve on the dice and OHKOing him either. A work-around to this incident is in the works.
