Ralie (EntityTopic, 15)

From Compile Worlds

Ralie is a character in Compile Worlds. He is one of the Puyo Spirits, representing Electricity and the color Yellow. He was sealed away by Camus in a a warehouse created by Ecolo, but he was later rescued in Episode 50 by Klug of all people. He was the last of his sisters to be released from his seal.

Character Concept

Chao had decided before the end of SHAME that the next arc of Compile Worlds that was his would have a prominent focus on the Puyo Spirits. Each of these spirits represents a color and element as dictated by Puyo Wars. Ralie, the one to represent electricity, was designed second. His hair has sharp points, and his jacket is adorned with lightning themed decor. Ralie was originally intended to be male, though Keiji decided that all of the spirits would be female. Thus, Ralie is now a tomboy to the point of identifying as a male, which is apparently totally okay, being the only one with a predefined masculine design.

Biography

Like the other Puyo Spirits, Ralie was born long before the events of Compile Worlds were set in motion, being created to protect them after the incident with the Youggs. While each was assigned a planet to protect, it is unknown at the time of writing what planet Ralie protects individually. During the Meteor Arc though, Ralie was chased to the Madou World and imprisoned by Camus in the Solar Star Powerhouse. However, in The Gathering, he was unsealed and allowed to rejoin his other fellow spirits and right Fake Arle's wrongs.

Ralie appears to be a rather laid back and easily excitable individual. He can often be seen shouting in excitement or enthusiasm to things that please him. Compared to his uptight sisters, Ralie is way more relaxed and handles things in a much more causal way. There seems to be some minor tension between him and Charyl, as he was seen rolling his eyes at her temper problems in one episode. He seems to take to his job with great vigor and enthusiasm, as shown when he was eager to release Eldora from her prison.

Etymology

His name is a stylized corruption of the "raly" in "paralyze", with paralysis being a common side effect of electrical attacks in many RPGs.
