Amitie is an innocent young girl who stole Arle's role as the heroine of the Puyo series; that is, until Andou Ringo decided to show up on July 30, 2009. In the games, she's generally an optimistic, yet klutzy person who is unaware of the twisted schemes her own magic teacher plots under her nose. She is also loved by Klug, but Amitie returns no feelings towards him, other than friendly ones. However, when Klug became possessed by his own book, Amitie was the only one who even bothered to exorcise the demon and seal it back within the book. Either her classmates seem to really love her or really hate her, which is to be expected of her personality type. In Puyo Puyo 7, she accidentally aided in Dark Arle's evil plan to bury the world in Puyo for their own good, but then somehow managed to conveniently teleport in with half the Madou cast when the villain tried to disintegrate Primp.
Magical power
Some fans once theorized that Amitie has the ability to be a great magic user because she is the reincarnation of a goddess. There is no proof in this theory whatsoever however. It might be an interesting idea to toy with in certain circumstances, but generally that's it.
Amitie's power rather, is implied by Schezo Wegey to come from her Red Puyo Cap, which even changes it's form to accommodate ridiculous Japanese dress code. Thus, it became an object of the pervert's desire. The Puyo cap is also a signature piece of Amitie's outfit, despite being criticized by Oshare Bones to be a fashion disaster.
Red Amitie
In Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary, Amitie has an alternate form known as Red Amitie. In this form, Amitie's hat takes yet another new bizzare form, and she is dressed in a strange robe and weilds a staff akin to the Sun Bookmark from Fever 2, as well as resembling Arle's staff from Compile's later games 3/3Puyo WarsMadou Monogatari: The Final TestRestaurant King. Perhaps this is what Amitie might be like when she finally becomes a wonderful magic user...?
Amitie also has an alternate voice in 20th, which makes her sound more womanly than normal.
Appearance in Compile Worlds
Amitie, like her other fellow heroines, of course, has appeared in Compile Worlds. However, unlike her fellow protagonists Ringo and Arle, the role she plays is relatively minor, usually staying behind in the HQ or getting kidnapped by villains galore. She debuted in the Satan arc with Arle, and tagged along. Initially, she practiced her Puyo skills with the likes of Tejina Mikuri the star mage, but she hasn't actually participated in any of the battle scenes in the roleplay thus far. Generally, she seems to mirror her game counterpart in terms of personality, though she took sides against Accord because, like the others, she was abused. She's technically a member of the ADMA, but she seldom has gone on missions with the gang. She was completely nonexistant in the Meteor Arc thanks to the explosion seperating the characters, and an overall lack of focus on the Fever cast in general.
While she was mainly a tag along in the Satan Arc, she also joined the heroes at the beginning of the Accord arc, but after recovering from Accord's initial attacks, she split up from the gang, and was kidnapped off screen by Accord and Popoi themselves, who tortured the poor magic user. Later on, the ADMA, then known as the Anti Accord Association, rescued Amitie from the gates of the Magic School with the aid of the mysterious Nanako. One episode later, Amitie reveals the magic school was remodeled by Popoi (and presumably Accord) into a labyrinth dungeon. However, Amitie couldn't rest long before her classmate TaruTaru appeared to lure Accord and Popoi to the secret location of Draco's hut (...wut), and she was caught in the resulting chaos that caused Sig to become berserk and explode. Amitie, like Arle, was knocked unconscious temporarily afterwords, and remained that way while Rider and Draco flew off to the mountains for some down time. When they got back, Sig had drug Amitie to the shore line and poured water on her, making her clothes transparent and accidentally revealing her chest to all. Never the less, our spunky blonde protagonist was too dazed to notice until Rider got defensive about it.
Then Amitie was greeted by the vile Ekoro (psych!) in Draco's temporary absence. Like everyone, Amitie was confused by the bizarre nature of Ekoro's rhyme. Amitie also witnessed the first appearance of Ringo, who was adopted by Amitie and the others into the ADMA. In the very last episode of the Accord arc, Amitie silently watched Accord slowly burn to death as she confessed to being pawned by Popoi. She was also applauded by her former teacher as a wonderful student. Horrified, she could only be beside herself in confusion and awe. When Ekoro sucked the rest of the ADMA into the Madou World, Amitie was left behind, and didn't take part in the epic Ekoro plot arc.
Her most recent appearance was at the ADMA celebratory dinner, where she mostly silently ate her food and made chit chat with the others. Presumably, she was blasted across the Neptune Primp by the mysterious meteor that caused the ADMA HQ to explode.
