Explosion (ConceptTopic, 4)
From Compile Worlds
An explosion is a phenomenon caused by extremely rapid expansion of a substance - enough to break pretty much whatever stands in its way. The usual way to cause an explosion is with a bomb of some description.
Most explosions do not leave any harmful after-effects other than the immediate destruction of whatever was in the vicinity. However, nuclear explosions will leave radiation around and curse anyone within fifty miles of the detonation point. This is probably why Japan is full of crazy people.
Explosions behind glass look particularly epic. Well, they would, if it weren't for that fact itself leading to them being so overused they're now Older Than Dirt..
Explosions are commonly seen in video games - in fact, in a video game almost anything is capable of exploding, even sheep (as seen in the Worms games) and trees (as seen in Earthbound).
