Klug is a complete dickheaded goody-two-shoes nerd who claims to be the strongest. He's often sarcastic, and is nice to almost no one. He has a one-way crush on Amitie, but it's not really clear whether he's actually nice to her or is just trying to cunningly win her over. He especially hates Raffine, and the two share a heated rivalry, probably believing Raffine is weak because she can't use magic. In Puyo Puyo Fever, he claims to have already discerned the location of the flying cane, and boasts to Amitie to impress her. However, knowing it is actually a lure by Popoi and Accord, and having a massive ego to satisfy, he stays behind and gloats about his finding. In Puyo Puyo Fever 2, he gets what's coming to him when his own evil book takes him over and gives him the most bad ass music in the entire series. In all his later appearances he just indulges his ego and flirts with Amitie.

Appearance in Subete PuyoPuyo

Naturally, the goody two shoes was to make an appearance in Subete PuyoPuyo at some point. His first appearance was as early as The Satan Arc, though he becomes conspicuously absent during the Accord arc. He is even more degrading than usual, and is even able to break characters like Rulue and Satan with his sadistic remarks. He is also not above insulting Amitie, despite his apparent feelings for her. His attitude problems have landed him in many unfortunate situations, causing him to adopt a damsel in distress scenario temporarily, before he runs off to be absent again.

In the Satan Arc, Klug tagged along with Arle and her band of lolis to stop Satan's yet to be unfolded plans. He was present when the group had to make a small detour to Rulue's Vacation Condo, where he pissed on Rulue and Raffine royally. After making a threat to Rulue and then ignoring it, he implored to leave for Satan's Tower. As they left, they ran into Draco, whom Klug saw fit to compare to Amitie (albeit unfairly). When Witch intervened and claimed there was nothing prettier than a blonde, Klug added that there was nothing more stupid than one either (ironically also insulting the then present Amitie). Humorously, he was slapped around a bit with a large trout by Keiji through the fourth wall as punishment for his misdeeds. Afterwords, he was deafened by Popoi's Norwegian Black Metal, and was thankful for the first time in the entire series when Draco torched the radio playing it.

Along the way, he continued to insult practically every character he came into contact with 3/3Schezo WegeyHarpy (Madou Monogatari)Lagnus the Brave. When the finally arrive at Satan's Tower, Klug just mopes around and insists Satan is a cosplaying idiot with pedophilia. Klug then mysteriously vanished for the remainder of the episode. While his absence wasn't explained until The Ekoro Arc, the Accord Arc implies Klug was blackmailed into turning against Amitie and the ADMA with permanently good grades offered as bribe. Klug seemingly agreed, but ran into Amitie off screen, and couldn't bring himself to kill her, instead imploring her to escape with her life. However, Amitie herself was eventually kidnapped and Klug was forced to be slain by Accord due to his "incompetence". Accord only admitted to this in at the end of her arc.

However, it was not a permanent death, Klug was revived by Harpy, but captured by Ekoro to use as bait in his sick mind game. The ADMA was challenged to race a death clock and rescue Klug from Satan's Castle by the vile insubstantial blob. While initially reluctant, Sig and Ringo urged the group to carry out the unexpected mission. Klug however, was not at all grateful, despite his life being on the line. He scoffed at the ADMA yet again back in Primp's Floating Island, and ran off like an idiot again, likely to go back to the Library and steal his book since Accord was no longer alive to reprimand him for doing so.
