Andou Ringo was the first character announced to be in Puyo Puyo 7, and is the only character to debut in said game that isn't sloppy (Her UTAU Hair and sexy curls contribute to her lack of sloppiness, among other things). Apparently, she lives in yet another parallel universe, other than both Arle Nadja's and Amitie's. She is the leader of her school's whatever club, and apparently has the power to manipulate her age, affecting the size of her Puyo accordingly. She seems to possess the ability to tackle even the largest tasks with a "get it done" kind of attitude, and is generally optimistic. She's also a Math genius <s>and she stole Sho Minamimoto's quotes, both in the original and the translation.</s>

As one of the central protagonists, Ringo has a strong sense of justice, probably only surpassed by that of Lagnus the Brave's. She also exhibits herself most of the time as the "sane one of the bunch", since she usually acts surprised, disgusted, or otherwise in shock to many of the zany character's antics. She is also old fashioned, using outdated slang or references at times. More often however, she makes math metaphors and slang. The most reoccurring examples of this are "What the factor" and "Are you out of your vector?" Ringo is hard working and somewhat of a geek in this sense. Ringo is usually disgusted by the actions the antagonists take, especially those of Satan and Ekoro. Unlike some of her comrades, however, Ringo has no personal bias against dark magic or anyone who uses it. This belief is upheld by the fact that someone isn't inherently evil because they practice dark magic and vice versa.
-
Ringo made her first Subete appearance in episode 8, where she appeared seemingly out of nowhere not long after Ekoro's mysterious speech and Mikki's magical hut-rebuilding. Confused, she joined the ADMA, then going by the moniker of Anti-Accord Association, and told them an interesting tale: Ringo, before ending up on the beach, had come across Accord, who was apparently sobbing her eyes out, pleading for Ringo to kill her (which she did not). Ringo also learned she had magical abilities, including being able to manipulate age, and demonstrated this on the others.
+
-
Later, in episode 9, Draco finally had come back. Accord, possibly following Ringo, had also appeared however. Accord though, only wanted to explain herself, and then die. So Draco set her on fire and the ADMA watched her sizzle as she explained that Popoi, supposedly a puppet, was using Accord as a puppet herself. Even Ringo, whom had only met Accord once prior to this moment, shed a tear for the poor magic school teacher. Ringo then took part in the discussion to rename the group, and was sucked into the portal Ekoro made. Now she has set of on a mission to rescue Klug from a mysterious castle, even though she does not know him at all.
+
Ringo's magical power, unlike half the cast, is mostly innate, and until the Meteor Arc, was widely untapped into. In the Ekoro Arc, Ringo relied on using her heavy book and apples to do damage to her enemies. Since the Meteor Arc and meeting Eltia, however, Ringo's magical powers have slowly began to show themselves, becoming more focused and powerful. In 17, she managed to learn how to levitate objects, and eventually, she began to levitate herself. She also developed her signature Cosine and Integral spells, which she has used in countless battles. However, Ringo still has potential power left within her. Her clone Theta proved that when she accidentally created a black hole with Ekoro. As of yet she still has not tapped into this power. On occasion, Ringo summons forth Eltia and her powers. Usually, she humorously forgets she can and should do this before the point in the battle that she does.
-
In episode 10, she eliminated the threat of Rulue by tying her to a tree. She also helped organize the main game plan to rescue Klug. Later that same episode, she introduced her "friend" Maguro and took on the evil Ekoro at the Floating Island. While she didn't stand out like her more experienced peers, she pitched in enough to avoid being left out entirely. Episodes 11 and 12 put Ringo into the spotlight a little as she contributed her logical reasoning skills to help the gang plan their counterattack to Ekoro and his clones. In this manner, Ringo became a leader like figure by the time of episode 14, being second only to Draco in her efforts. Ringo soon discovered Ekoro had cloned her and amplified her latent power astronomically. Luckily, she was able to neutralize her clone and turn the tables against the evil blob, ultimately defeating him for a long time to come.

Ringo's name is literally Japanese for "apple", which creates numerous puns based on her personality and her former life as a grocer's daughter. No, she is NOT secretly a member of The Beatles, so you can take your little yellow submarine else where.

In <span class='plainlinks'>episode 17</span>, Ringo became the primary focus after a Meteor crash landed into the ADMA headquarters and sent everyone flying. She survived the resulting explosion, but found herself stranded in the desert with only Arle. Ringo and Arle came across a Detective investigating the meteor crash, and they discovered a piece of the ADMA helicopter. After hitching a ride back to the city, the two girls found themselves confronting Nohoho at the ADMA ground zero, but Ringo noticed he wasn't himself. Later, his employer, ??? appeared and revealed "Nohoho" was actually one of Ekoro's missing clones; Epsilon. Ringo confronted the enigmatic dark mage about the meteor, only to be accused of racism. After arguing, a curse was cast upon Ringo that caused her to become physically attracted to Draco, much to her confusion, and later annoyance.

Once the dust settled, the mathlete carried Seriri to the lake, forced to abandon her. Flying back to the hut, Ringo soon discovers that her doll can talk. After examining the damage they previously did at the library, they found an underground workshop, where a man named Steve was building more weaponry in near darkness. It was the last peace they had though, as Marcus appeared. Rather than listening to reason though, Marcus demanded his cannon back, aware that they burned down his library and murdered the librarian. Ringo tried to make peaceful negotiations, being the smart, competent heroine she is, but when Lagnus tried to defend himself for slaying the Librarian, he nearly got killed by Marcus in a single blow, prompting the drill-haired girl and her followers to take action. At first, Ringo and Theta seemed to do some damage to Marcus, but he quickly turned the battle against the heroes as he engulfed the Ringo twins in a weird black space (which was, mind you, white on the inside).

In the space, Theta exploded thanks to a bizarre reaction thought to be caused by being one of Ekoro's clones, leaving Ringo to deal with her remains: a bunch of odd looking spiders. Eltia finally awakened in response to Ringo's growing distress and proved power, eliminating the spider creatures, and eventually, saving Ringo, Mikki and Lagnus from almost certain doom. When Ringo returned to Primp, she was greeted by Satan and his Bus of Love nearly plowing over Draco's Hut. Ringo was broken the news of Draco rage quitting being a hero, causing Ringo some short lived dismay. Witch catches up to the gang, revealing Marcus destroyed Beta as well, with Witch carrying her hand as a token. However, Ringo had little time to weep, as Witch was temporarily chased away by her blueberry muffin and a tent happened to be nearby. Within the tent were two discs. Watching the badly recorded AVI play out on the first, it is revealed the second disc is a back up of Phi, a clone Ekoro developed secretly as Project Perfect Light. Phi also revealed various other details about himself. Just behind the tent, trapped in a cage by Ekoro, was Sho (and not Sho Minamimoto, hectopascals), a teen genius kidnapped by Ekoro to help him build the Mountain Base and several of the clones, most notably Phi. Ringo let Sho loose after interrogating him about his experiences with Ekoro. Luckily, Eltia somehow managed to block it from harming the party, leading Zeta to fall into some inferiority complex. Ringo Andou is the main protagonist of Puyo Puyo 7, and one of the major protagonists in Compile Worlds. She journeys to take down various dark mages and other antagonistic characters who terrorize Primp with their sinister plans. Ringo, along with many others once formed the Anti Dark Magic Alliance, but this has since disbanded due to various circumstances. Regardless, it has done little to affect her role, much less her tolerance for villainy. She is always carrying a large book and Eltia.

Biography

Ringo lived a fairly ordinary life in the Suzurian shopping district of her home world; she helped run her family's grocery store when she was not in school. In her other spare time, she would hang about with Sasaki Maguro, her childhood friend from the shopping district, and Risukuma, who was generally too creepy to hang around anyone else. In Episode 9, Ringo recalls how she and Maguro went "shopping together", although she implied it was Maguro who did most of the shopping for her. Without warning, and by (currently) unknown means, she was teleported to Primp. Suspiciously, she appeared right around the time Ekoro did.

In Episode 17, she managed to learn how to levitate objects, and eventually, she began to levitate herself.

Etymology

Ringo's name is literally Japanese for "apple", which creates numerous puns based on her personality and her former life as a grocer's daughter. No, she is NOT secretly a member of The Beatles, so you can take your little yellow submarine else where.
