Nasu Grave, AKA that motherfucking eggplant, is a sentient eggplant hailing from the Puyo series. He is a somewhat annoying bespectacled character, whom, like Seriri and Suketoudara, has an irrational fear of being consumed as food. Despite his fears though, he gets rather mouthy with people, making deadpan, sarcastic insults and mocking anyone who even fancies an interaction with him. Once he gets them pissed off though, he turns into a total coward and whittles away into the weak sauce opponent he really is. He's so lame, in fact, that he had to copy Arle Nadja's famous Fire spell in order to have enough animations to continue being a character. Despite being relatively unpopular and only appearing in two of the 5 Madou-era Puyo titles, he was given a spot in Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary over more likable and equally classic characters such as Draco Centauros and Witch. SEGA quickly realized their mistake, and replaced him with Skeleton T. as the wimp fodder in Puyo Puyo 7.

Etymology

"Nasu" is the Japanese word for "Eggplant". Go figure, eh?
