Z (pronounced "Zet", and not "Zee") is a new character in the upcoming Puyo Puyo Tetris, representing the Tetris world since Tetris itself has no proprietary characters of its own. It is a giant , generic looking robot with a large Z block printed on the front of its body. It is apparently a house keeping robot, but not much is known about it besides this.
Etymology
Z comes from the "Z" shaped block in Tetris. Zet comes from the Russian word for the letter Z, зет, and also rhymes with the "Teto" in the Japanese spelling of Tetris. The kana "ト(To)" is contained within Tetris. It is also similar to Zeta, the letter in the Greek alphabet that Z is based on the Latin alphabet.
