From Compile Worlds

Vanille is a character appearing in Compile ♥ Worlds. He is the general of the New Army of Lastation, though he was formerly a school teacher. He debuted in Episode 61, attacking Nanako's search and rescue party to recover one of Histoire's Key Fragments for Angol Mois. He is a member of the villainous Neapolitan Trio. He is currently locked up in the Lastation Basilicom, where he can do no harm... for now.

Biography

Not much is known about Vanille's history. He was a school teacher, teaching Tech as one of his students. However, he appeared in Lastation not too long before the appearance of the Puyo characters. He was employed by Angol Mois as part of the Neapolitan Trio as his general, building him new Protectors out of virtually indestructable Angolium to use. The factories around Lastation allow him to deploy quickly and efficiently, and prior to his debut he built massive amounts of weapons and troops in the factories.

Vanille is somewhat egotistical and arrogant, boasting he will come out on top of any given situation. He never loses his cool during battle and welcomes his opponents to test their mettle against him with a calculated grin. Additionally, he seems to be bothered by Tech, chastising him for being attracted to one of his male classmates instead of doing his work.

Vanille's primary prowess in combat is his All Seeing Eye, which allows him to see up to five seconds into the future in order to react accordingly. He demonstrated it in Episode 61 by using it to foil Tech and Plutia's attempts to help, and then again to trick Vert and IF into attacking a body double. Additionally, he is also cunning, commanding his troops to fire their surprise MPCs when Sigma and Nanako threw up magical barriers. Besides his excessive pride in his tactics, he seems to have an allergy to Hee Hee Tea, as teased by Ms. Accord.

Etymology

Vanille is the French word for vanilla, which his hair color resembles. Vanilla is also a flavor of Ice Cream, which is traditionally in Neapolitan Ice Cream, along with strawberry and chocolate. Vani is simply a shortening of his name.
