Aeris is a character in Compile Worlds. She is one of the Puyo Spirits, representing Wind and the color Green. She was sealed away by Camus in the South Coast Lighthouse, but was saved in Episode 50 by Miike and her party.
Character Concept
Chao had decided before the end of SHAME that the next arc of Compile Worlds that was his would have a prominent focus on the Puyo Spirits. Each of these spirits represents a color and element as dictated by Puyo Wars. Aeris, the one to represent wind, was designed last. Her long, seemingly windstruck hair and green flowing robes suggest her intelligence and connection to nature. Curiously, she has pointed ears, characteristic of most dragon-like Abyssians.
Her original name was "Vental", from the Latin "Ventus", but Keiji though that just sounded stupid.
Etymology
Her name is obviously derived from "Aero". (And not the Final Fantasy character with the mistranslated name, mind you.)
