Vanilla the Rabbit is Cream the Rabbit's mother in the Sonic series. She is notable for having talents in brewing tea, sewing and cooking. Her status as a widow is subject to much controversy, and her height, weight and age are all concealed from the public. Sadly, she's only appeared in like, three games 3/3Sonic Advance 2Sonic Advance 3Sonic Rush to date, and even at that, she's limited to a pixel art in the ending sequence. Obviously, this left us with Sonic X to help fill in the blanks, and even then. Despite being a kind woman, it is rumored she is strict. She also casually uses her charm to work Vector the Crocodile into doing practically what ever she wants.

In Sonic Legends, Vanilla was a more important character, with her house guests being the primary focus of quite a few episodes. In this canon, she marries Vector, and acts as a mother figure to Blaze the Cat and Silver the Hedgehog, who are usually staying under her roof. Often, she is exasperated by her new found family, and a common gag revolves around her announcing she will faint, demanding Vector catch her, and then fainting.
