Project Perfect Light Phi, originally known as Ekoro's secret project, was an experiment project conducted by Ekoro in Subete PuyoPuyo. He is also one of Ekoro's clones, and was named Phi. Phi was created in junction with Sho, and was created so Ekoro could harness the light in his evil plans. However, everyone but Ekoro knows a person with a pure heart is incapable of doing anything evil. So instead, Ekoro destroyed Phi, being only a nuisance in his plans at that point and deemed a failure. Fortunately, Phi was smart enough to create backup of his data onto a CD as a fail safe. He even took the time to hide it in Fos Canyon, which was also where Ekoro had locked Sho away after Phi's creation. He would visit Sho to keep him company. Phi's data disc is now safely in Ringo's hands, which Sho has promised to reconstruct Phi from.

Originally, the project's existence was almost over looked until Strange Klug revealed it to a crumbling ADMA. The demon revealed that Ekoro had boasted to him about the project, but never revealed it's name, nor it's purpose or residing location. It was allegedly scrapped after it was deemed a failure early in it's life, much like some other experiments of Ekoro's, which were simply destroyed when they were of no place in his plan. Strange Klug vied after the remains of the experiment. It was likely developed in tangent with and scrapped for the final stages of his cloning experiments.
