Amy Rose is a pink female hedgehog appearing in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. She likes to call herself Sonic's girlfriend, but Sonic likes to act like he has absolutely no sex drive and just wants to run around 24/7. However, this is simply a ruse to avoid extra trouble from Eggman. As well as with Sonic, Amy has been in several other pairings, including TailsAmy, ShadowAmy, AmyCream and even AmyRider.
She wields a Piko Piko hammer and uses it for many different attacks and even her own mobility, as she is slower than most other characters and cannot utilize the all-important rolling manoeuvre (while she can, technically, do this in Sonic Advance 2, that game doesn't count because it did all sorts of stupid things to the gameplay). She also likes to whack Sonic on the head with her hammer when he does something stupid. This hammer is usually stored in her portable hole, as can be seen in Sonic Advance 1. Most of the time, she's relatively useless, but she has a clear advantage in the Ice Mountain boss.
