Midori Mizuri is a new character introduced in Compile ♥ Worlds. In addition to being the creator of the prestigious Million Yen Muffin, she, along with Akai Suzuri and Aoi Azuri, is one of the three shrine maidens that will be a crucial plot point in the first arc of the RP, being the maiden of the Muffin Town Shrine.

Character Concept

Since Muffin Town and the Holy Dinner Shrine were appearing in C♥W and playing an important part, Keiji decided that there needed to be three shrine maidens to go with these shrines. Set to appear in Episode 56, each of the three players was assigned to develop a shrine maiden, with Chao being assigned Midori. Her name was decided when a red-green-blue motif was selected for the maidens.

As for her design, she appears with short, curly hair, and a green dress with poofy sleeves, adorned with an apron.

Biography

Not much is currently known about the backstory of any of the three shrine maidens. Their families share a common ancestor, Asumi, who is now but a spirit. The three mikos also seem to have known each other and have a sisterhood somewhat. How well they know one another or for how long is another matter entirely. She is also a proud baker in Rebucca's Bakery. It has yet to be seen if she has any relationship with the eponymous Rebucca or not.

Midori is the most cheery of the three mikos, and is somewhat absentminded. She tends to overlook obvious things, such as the fact that Angol Mois and Arle Nadja own the potato farms she buys from and that her muffin shop window is punched out. She is also a little slow in conversation, and tends to bring up things only after they've been discussed. She is passionate about her duties as a shrine maiden and baker, however, and will actively punish any wrongdoers with her trusty kitchen weapon - I mean tools - if they do her or her shrine and muffins injustice. Her Million Yen Muffin is a longwinded labor of love, showing her dedication. She is quick to be kind to strangers and point out their positive things, making her come off as slightly naive or eccentric.

Etymology

Midori is the Japanese word for green, which is the color that represents the Muffin Town Shrine, and of the clothes she wears. Mizuri is the first syllable of Midori combined with the -zuri ending of the other mikos, and sounds a lot like Misery, a reference to a Cave Story character.
