CyberConnect2 is one of Neptunia's many referential sidekick characters. She is a reference to .hack//G.U., and has an outfit available in the in-game shop resembling Haseo, a character from said game. She did not appear in the original 2010 game, and was a DLC character in her debut game, but comes as a built-in character in Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth1 and has many appearances in the story. She becomes playable in Chapter 7 when you take on Lastation's quest.

CyberConnect2 fights with twin daggers, another homage to Haseo after the outfit. She's also excellent at gathering intel, beating even IF in this field.

In Compile ♥ Worlds

She makes her debut as one of the characters who has somehow ended up with one of the four Key Fragments after Histoire seals herself to prevent her power being taken by Angol and his goons. She reveals to the protagonists that a Fake White Heart is trying to collect the Key Fragments again and, as such, she is on the run from this faker. She also finds the scaled-up Azuri Shrine, now located in Planeptune, with only a sleeping Aoi in it, and suggests to the group she is with at the time that they use it as a base of operations.

Etymology

CyberConnect2 is named after the company with the same name, though it is not yet known what connection said company has with Neptunia.
