Big the Cat is a anthropomorphic cat from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is often veiwed as retarded or simple-minded, mainly due to his laid back life style and attidue towards certain situations. He has a pet frog named Froggy who is usually the one to get Big into all sorts of shenanigans. However, it isn't usually his fault. Big's story in Sonic Adventure backs this theory up when Chaos 0 possesses Froggy and steals one of the Chaos Emeralds. Big has been associated with such characters like Amy Rose and Cream the Rabbit, whom are his two OTHER best friends (besides Froggy, of course). Sadly, Big has been targeted along side Cream the Rabbit and others by SEGA as part of the Cream Conspiracy Theory. Unless immediate actions are taken, Big as we know him will be one of the first who cease to exist amongst other "minor" characters in the Sonic universe.

Big has often been rumored to be in the game Sonic Megamix, and many mock-ups starring him were released. However, there is no official word either way.
