He is a prince who turned himself into a fish to more appropriately rule the oceans of [[Primp]] and to elude the pursuits of his homosexual butler [[Otomo]]. During [[Puyo Puyo Fever 2]], he temporarily is transformed back to his [[human]] form by [[Lemres]] and [[Raffine]], and in this guise he basically bosses around [[Sig]] until the latter retrieves the [[Star Lantern]] from the [[Strange Klug|possessed]] [[Klug]] to turn him back into a fish.

''Sa''lde ''Cana''rl contains さかな (''Sakana'', "fish"), with Shellbrick being an obvious reference to [[sea shell]]s found by the sea shore. His [[Japanese]] name in fish form literally means "Fish Prince".
