Touhou Project, also known as Project Shrine Maiden is a game for lunatics that need help because it has massive beam spam and massive bullet hell count. But that's one of the reasons why it's awesome. Another reason is the massive loli count and the overly awesome music! Yes! Even at the classics!

This game is about a fantasy land called Gensokyo, a shrine maiden called Reimu Hakurei, a magician-thief called Marisa Kirisame (And she's got good, lovely sparks) and the majority of mystical creatures like ghosts, youkai, living dolls... yup. Even Magicians that aren't really human.

This game is brought to you by Team Shanghai Alice, whose only member is some drunk alcoholic many fans call ZUN, also a former Amusement Makers member (Where Touhou really started). He's got guts, giving this game over 9000 bullets and lolis.

WARNING: This game has massive memes that breed, even though it's merely a danmaku shoot-'em-up.

Characters

Reimu Hakurei

One of the main characters of the series and the only miko known... until Sanae Kochiya appears. She likes to exterminate youkai (Though, youkai still love her) and save the day because it's her duty to do so and because they're pretty annoying. Ever since Touhou 6, she has clothes that expose delicious armpits. She maintains the Hakurei Border of Gensokyo. No wonder why she's quite border-obsessed! She's really powerful but she hates training; her power is mostly pure talent. Very first character with a worthless gatekeeper (Though, that gatekeeper NEVER appeared since Touhou 1) .

Marisa Kirisame

Master thief of everything, from grimoires to precious things, from chestnuts to even spells! She has powerful spells and one of those spells has her firin' har lazar!!! Like Reimu, she likes to save the day... except it's just for the heck of it or for the treasure. She's just as powerful as Reimu but instead of talent, she has to work her butt off to be as powerful as the miko. Kleptomaniac witch who claims herself to be more ordinary than she seems.
