Pikachu & Squirtle is a <s>hoax Nintendo DS game</s> <s>real PC game</s> vaporware by Chao and Black Amendment. Though it is not in development at the moment, the article remains for archival and sentimental purposes, in case the game is suddenly revived.
-
Pikachu & Squirtle, codenamed Neon, is a Project Nanako engine. It began as a hoax Nintendo DS game by Chao and Son-X, but was recently transformed into a plan for a real PC game.

Plot
 +
The game's plot revolves around the titular Pikachu, as he one day decides to abandon his trainer in search of adventure after he finally suffers a loss to a random rival trainer. Meanwhile, Lord Meowth, one of the key antagonists, is watching Pikachu from Poké Island. He hastily awakens Mewtwo to put his plans into motion. Pikachu washes up on the shoreline shortly afterwords, and witnesses Mewtwo's kidnapping of Queen Jigglypuff after he becomes smitten with her. Angered by this motion, Pikachu and the islands inhabitants, faithful to the kingdom of the Queen, team up to confront Mewtwo and Lord Meowth, but soon Pikachu begins to realize there is more to the situation than meets the eye, as more of Meowth's subordinates come into light.

Spoilers Dev
+
After chasing down Meowth to his tower, they learn the Queen was kidnapped in order for Meowth to wed with her and become the king, unsatisfied by Jigglypuff's performance as the queen. However, Pikachu battles him, and Meowth flees, revealing Jigglypuff is now in Mewtwo's care, and is no longer safe under the genetic Pokemon's jurisdiction. Pikachu chases Meowth to Mewtwo's Castle and finally rescues Jigglypuff, only to be confronted by Mewtwo. Before Mewtwo defeats Pikachu though, Meowth appears and reveals he had pawned Mewtwo. Mewtwo, in anger, attacks Meowth and facilitates the gang's escape from his castle. Meowth uses the remainder of his minions to distract Pikachu while he considers weather his plan in it's current state is even salvageable.
-
The prolouge begins with an injured Pikachu being carried away to a Poké Center. He is healed up, and rests there during the night. He decides to escape out of the window, and uses a large floating object to drift out to sea. By morning, he wakes up at the edge of Poké Island, where his adventure is about to begin. He is "royally" greeted by the Queen (more specifically with a smack in the face). Queen Jigglypuff is then captured by Mewtwo. Pikachu then meets Squirtle. From there, his soon-to-be friends are introduced one by one, and they agree to venture forth and save Jigglypuff from her ill fate.
+
Meanwhile, the Oak family has made a research station on the mythical island. Gary Oak, the youngest of them, wanders off. He is confronted by the malevolent Deoxys, who then unlocks mysterious dark powers the boy unknowingly harbored, in exchange for eliminating the problem of Pikachu, to which Gary agrees. While dealing with the other minions, Gary intervenes at various points, confronting his old rival Red. However, when the gang finally finishes off the last of the lesser minions and their shenanigans, Meowth has gone into hiding, leaving Deoxys to take Mewtwo's Castle and transform it into Castle Deoxys, which simultaneous exists in both the Island and in a digital dimension Deoxys has created. Inside, Gary and Red finally make amends and join Pikachu and Mewtwo. At the top of the castle, Deoxys explains his motives finally: to prove Darkness is supreme, and absorb the Island into a dark, dimension in which he shall control. Of course, after a long fight, he is eventually defeated by Pikachu, concluding Episode 1.

Episodes 2 and 3 focus on Meowth's revenge, altering his plans and manipulating "The Order" and the Queen's jealous sisters among other faces to achieve this. However, this backfires as Gary counter conspires against this to achieve his own personal revenge on Deoxys for using him as a pawn. Eventually, the boy manipulates the situation so that Deoxys and Meowth both fall, sacrificing his own physical body and mental well being in the process, due to having to trick Pikachu into thinking he was a villain. Pikachu finally rests easy for a time.

Story
+
A fourth Episode was planned, but was never properly placed into the timeline. During it's events Meowth's successor, Weavile, along with a number of other conspirators, continues to execute Meowth's plan in vain. During this time, both a Negative world and a confused Rayquaza named Ry-kuza vie for control of the island as well. Gary works behind the scenes despite his destroyed reputation to put to rest his quarrels with his power and silence Mismagius, Weavile's assistant turned traitor. The last of Meowth's associates, AbraKadabra Alakazam, is finally destroyed after antagonizing Mewtwo behind the scenes and continuously escaping Pikachu at the end of the episode, and Weavile flees to parts unknown, leaving the island to finally be at peace.

Pikachu floats onto Poke Island(Pokemon Island in Japanese versions) and stumbles upon Queen Jigglypuff(Purin). Pikachu gets a crush on her and becomes flustered, which leads Jigglypuff to smack him. Jigglypuff, is then however, kidnapped by Mewtwo. Mewtwo proceeds to take Jigglypuff to Lord Meowth(Lord/God Nyaasu), whom wishes to seize control of the island. By either marrying Jiggly or usurping the throne from her. Meanwhile, Pikachu meets Squirtle, and the two become friends, and begin taking down Mewtwo and Meowth's minions, rescuing other Island inhabitants to join them. When they arrive at Lord Meowth's tower on the western side of the Island, they rescue Jigglypuff. Then they go to Mewtwo's castle, where we learn that Meowth had been manipulating Mewtwo the whole time to keep Pikachu at bay and capture Jiggly. Meowth also reveals he is the Big bad, and introduces Deoxys, one of his highest subordinates. While they chase around Meowth's minions again, Deoxys takes control of Mewtwo's Castle, which is then warped into the sick perverted Castle Deoxys. They defeat Deoxys in an epic battle atop the castle. After their victory, Mewtwo and Pikachu go their separate ways, and Mewtwo goes on his own adventure.

Pikachu spends his second episode dealing with Lord Meowth and some of his new recruits, as well as another group, calling themselves the Order. The Order basically want to be like a Poke Island FBI. But they need to know who's side they're on first. So Meowth attempts to fool them into thinking he's the good guy.     And he succeeds in this for a while, but ultimately, The Order realizes who the true heroes are by sending in Misdreavus as a spy. Pikachu fights the epic battle with Meowth in his new tower, and Meowth escapes...again =P

Pikachu
 +
The titular protagonist. He is generally a good natured-guy, and actively seeks adventure. He is completely smitten with the Queen Jigglypuff, despite her initial rejection of him. In battle, he eventually wields a sword that significantly resembles his tail with great skill, although his classic thunder abilities and high agility are still present. Throughout his adventure, he must rely on numerous allies, including his former trainer Red and rivals Mewtwo and Gary Oak, in order to navigate the various booby-trapped dungeons the villains have laid out for him. Though he and Red are not native to the shores of Poké Island, this doesn't make either of them exempt of the Negative treatment (See below).

Lord Meowth
-
In Episode 3 of Pikachu's story, we learn that Pokemon Island isn't terribly far away from Kanto...So Meowth goes there and takes advantage of human earnest to recruit some more minions, and take on Pikachu for the third time. By stealing their Pokemon and brainwashing them. After Pikachu beats them up, Meowth claims Pikachu as the one who stole their Pokemon, and leads an Angry mob to the island to go and take down Pikachu with. This too fails, because they are only human(Not to mention Brock and Misty don't trust Meowth anyway). However, instead of battling Meowth, Pikachu finds Gary(Shigeru), who's been doing some behind the scenes action for sometime now. Gary was an alter ego of Green/Blue, banished to the Dark Realm(Essentially PAS's version of limbo) for he contained the essence of darkness within. In the Dark Realm, Gary formed a deal with the now dead Deoxys and Wigglytuff, both once Meowth's minions; their revival in exchange for helping him bring the outside world to the Dark Realm. After a battle with Gary, he proceeds to show Pikachu and co just what he has done. Wigglytuff, being the mechanical genius she is, has created a large machine called RiboNucleicAcid. Deoxys fuses with it to become DeoxysRiboNucleicAcid.  Gary mounts DNA, and demonstrates it's power by opening a portal to the Dark Realm and killing Wigglytuff with it. Pikachu and Gary engage in an epic fight, where Gary ultimately loses. Meowth finally catches up to Pikachu. They are about to fight again, but then Gary uses the last of his powers for the moment to kill Lord Meowth as an act of redemption. Gary collapses, and vanishes back to the Dark Realm. The humans in Meowth's mob leave, now knowing no reason to be there, and Pikachu thinks it's time to sit back and relax...

Lord Meowth (Known also as Lord Nyasu in Japanese and Engrish versions), is the main antagonist. Nyasu's ultimate goal was to usurp the kingdom controlling Poké Island. Once in control of the island, he then wanted to make the Island and the monarchy better and improve the quality of life of the island, though due to his personality it is hard to tell weather he actually meant any of it. He had originally intended to non-violently achieve this goal by marrying Queen Jigglypuff, although complications caused by Pikachu's rescue of her led him to need to use more violent measures. He owns a tower, aptly named Lord Meowth's Tower, from which he does most of his dirty work.
-
Episode 4
+
Nyasu is a typical Meowth with a white cloak and black, spiked choker holding the cloak to his body. The cloak also plays into his personality slightly. Before engaging a foe in combat, he removes his cloak if he feels the opponent is a worthy adversary(Like Pikachu). However, if Nyasu believes the opponent will be a waste of his time, he leaves the cloak on.
-
After a long while, Jigglypuff finally ask Pikachu to marry her, but before any further plans can be made, Jigglypuff must greet Gardevoir, the official Hoenn ambassador. Gardevoir, however, turns out to be a Sneasel in disguise, who kidnaps Jigglypuff and makes off into a shady place beyond a dark portal. Pikachu and friends give chase. Meanwhile, a Meteor crashes on the Island, and a Rayquaza named Ry-Kuza eventually comes from it. Pikachu and Friends have been lead into the Negative world, a hellish, nightmare-like parallel of Poke Island. They see a large palace, where Sneasel is seen running off to. As they follow him, they learned Lord Meowth was very prepared for his death. In his will, he left behind that Weavile, a close friend of his, would take his place. He leads his own group of evil Sinnoh and Hoenn Pokemon, Including Mismagius and Honchkrow of Honchkrow Enterprises, as well as any persistent death defying minions Meowth left behind (Koffing and Jynx come to mind =P). They quickly begin making their way up the large palace, and save Jigglypuff from Weavile, whom flees, never to return again. Before the party can leave though, they must deal with the Negatives in the Negative world. The Negatives are shadowy, perverted evil doppelgangers of the heroes themselves, whom seem to seek mass expansion of the Negative world beyond their dimensional barriers, but first, they must kill their Poke Island counter parts. Meanwhile, Jirachi has been attacked and transformed into a monstrous being named Chiraji (Jirachi spelled backwards), who grants only evil wishes. During these events, Ry-Kuza, a Pokemon who fell from the sky onto the Island, begins his quest to find answers: how did he get here? What is his purpose on the Island? So, he builds a grand metropolis over Pokémon Island, causing even more disarray for Pikachu and friends.  Pikachu and co return to the Island from the Negative world to find the Metropolis and Chiraji, and so they must deal with those threats, in that order.

Episode 5 (Mewtwo)
+
Nyasu has a very interesting personality for a villain. He morally believes violence to be unnecessary in achieving goals. So at first, he tries all non-violent methods, including leaving the violence up to his minions, to distract Pikachu and eventually get the Island. However, he is not above using violence to get his way, should he believe that his way is better. As such, Nyasu eventually gets violent himself and begins using more aggressive tactics in his plan. Nyasu is also quite enigmatic at times. Nyasu treats his minions(especially his most loyal) more like friends. In this sense, Nyasu creates a bond and trust with his minions, allowing them to be able to cooperate better and therefore, kickass.

Deoxys is an associate of Lord Meowth who serves as a reoccurring antagonist. He possesses great power, and is second to only others just as powerful as he. However, unlike his superior, he is quite not afraid to use his full powers to usurp the kingdom of Queen Jigglypuff. He even manages to gain partial control of Mewtwo's Castle at the end of episode 1, and regains partial entity for the finale of episode 3. His motives however, besides bloodthirst and control of Mewtwo's castle, are widely unknown.
-
This episode picks up almost right after where Episode 3 leaves off. In the Dark Realm, Gary is taunted and tormented by Mismagius and Weavile, whom are villains of episode 4. After revealing their plans to Gary, Gary decides he must stop them. Donning a cloak, he leads Ash(Satoshi), Brock(Takeshi), Dawn(Hikairi), and Pearl(Jun) to Poke Island, and begins training them in the art of combat on the Island, which they are granted temporary elements for this reason(Ash for example, is given 'Ice'). Gary then leads them all over the island, weakening or knocking off many of Weavile's minions in the process. Weavile then flees from Pikachu, when it's just down to him and Pikachu. However, Mismagius won't accept defeat. So Gary leads them to the Negative World portal, where he finally reveals himself to the others. He then, after settling a small score with Ash( and maybe some slight Dawn crush), tests them to see if they can take on Mismagius. They defeat Gary in the test. Gary escorts them to Mismagius in Weavile's abandon palace, who has now become delirious. In one final attempt to snatch victory from defeat, Mismagius fakes her death and sends them to the void, where the humans fight her yet again, this time, as a giant. Mismagius loses again, and dies in the void.
+
Deoxys has the appearance of a Deoxys(obviously), spending most of his time in attack forme. He also wears a brown hooded cloak, with sleeves longer than his tentacles.
-
The Humans head home, while Gary's actions finally free him from the Dark Realm's grip. He decides to make residence on Poke Island, despite missing his friends heading home, and decides to make new friends.

Gameplay/Controls
+
Deoxys, like his superiors Lord Meowth and AKA, possesses great intellect and schemes most hours. However, unlike the other two, he plots plans of manipulation, betrayal, possession, and even death. Also unlike Meowth, he is not afraid of violence, and in fact, rather enjoys it to a degree. Deoxys is enigmatic, preferring to leave everyone in the dark about himself when speaking. This also creates distrust amongst villains occasionally, but as long as Lord Meowth trusts him, no one is allowed to break pact with him.

In and out of combat, Deoxys can create powerful, life-like illusions, and distort reality in strange ways. He can even use these illusions to create false guises for himself and give himself false strength. He uses his distortion powers to possess Mewtwo's Castle and turn it into the upside down Castle Deoxys. Many more illusions, including hordes of rampant Unown, were created inside as a result of such distortion. He can also use these powers to manipulate the immediate, visible area around him.

In combat, Deoxys can change formes at will, but mainly stays in attack forme in order to inflict maximum damage on his foes. Deoxys is also capable of many other abilities, including creating and firing lasers. Deoxys, like most powerful entities in Pikachu and Squirtle, is capable of Psybeam and Psyball. Aditionally, he can use his powers of illusion to imitate many more moves and skills, including a false invincibility.

Overworld
Not much of Deoxys' skills outside of combat are explored. It is assumed though, that like Meowth, he must have at least a sharp mind and great manipulative skills. However, while he lacks the charismatic leadership qualities of Meowth, he is far more capable of being secretive, intimidating, and down right nasty than his superior. Thus, he has a large image anyhow.

The Order are a group of Pokémon that appear as bosses in Episode 2, and supporting characters thereafter. They (try) to serve as a peace keeping organization, creating a first line of defense and a center for intell. However, sometimes they act aloof, or unfriendly about it, earning them the title "ominous peacemakers". The group consists of Weezing, Slowbro, and Misdreavus serving as the primary head, with Muk serving more behind-the-scenes action.

Battles
+
Misdreavus
-
Battles are done in Chrono Trigger style, except with more characters, and in 3D. Only the selected character's stats will display on-screen unless you press a button which pauses the battle and shows all character's stats on the entire screen. The character limit starts at 4, and increases by one with each episode cleared (episodes 1 to 4), giving a limit of 8 when you complete the game. You enter commands for each character at the same time as animations occur; they are carried out in a queue, with AI actions being done as soon as their ready bar is full. Each move a character can make will take a different amount of (real) time before you can use the character again.
+
Of The Order's members, Misdreavus is the most prolific. She appears to all the primary characters, though she has a particular interest in Pikachu because she finds him rather handsome. She is sassy and has somewhat of a temper, but she is also playful and mischievous. She serves the role of a spy when The Order arrives on the Island, pretending to be one of Meowth's minions. She is a formidable foe in battle, nimble and sure to float out of harms way when you least need it!

The Receptionist
-
*C: Snap cursor to surface
+
The Receptionist (HKE/DKE Receptionist in Japanese) is a grumpy receptionist who works at Honchkrow Enterprises. She, like many of the HKE employees, does about 9000 other jobs in addition to being a receptionist, including being the main course in the Murky Krow's signature special meal, the Big Fat Feast. The Receptionist is a Honchkrow, and is the only other Honchkrow aside from the big man himself that works at the HKE/Murky Krow/Gift shop chain. You can commonly find her at the reception desk in the lobby answering phone calls and yelling over the Intercom System.

First Person
+
The Receptionist is a very snooty woman. She often hates dealing with costumers and phone calls, and often transfers them to another line where she doesn't have to deal with them. When she does seem like she's enjoying her phone conversation, it's probably because she's on the phone with 1 of her friends. The Receptionist is also not afraid to speak her mind and defend her point, especially with her menacing demeanor and mountains of body fat. The Receptionist also is so pissed off all the time she usually takes violent or verbally degrading actions against other people. Often she implies this grumpiness came from constantly being used in Big Fat Feasts, but she was this way even before the Murky Krow started serving the feasts.
-
You may prefer to play in first person mode, for overworld only. In this mode camera and controls work like a racer but interaction is still the same.
+
-
*D-pad: Turn (up and down only work if you're flying/swimming, where appropriate)
+
She has no role in the games, mostly because Honchkrow's business plays a minor role within the world and story of the game. However, The Receptionist has quite a comparably decent role in the (non-canon) RP mini-series. She and other fellow employees Honchkrow, Mismagius, Uncle Murkrow, and Ethan are often seen together involving themselves in HKE shenanigans. Here, The Receptionist takes on several jobs: the receptionist (duh) for the lobby, the gift shop clerk, the intercom announcer, a waitress at the Murky Krow, a janitor after dark, and a main course Big Fat Feast. The Receptionist has the amazing ability to instantly regenerate herself after being killed. This is the sole reason that allows HKE to get away with using her as both an employee and menu item.

Recruiting
+
The Receptionist bitterly hates Ethan and most of the other humans. She believes they are weak, lazy, cowardly, incompetent, and should disappear of the face of the earth.
-
You can recruit wild Pokémon in various ways:
+
-
+
-
*Cast some kind of charm spell. This will definitely recruit them, but puts them in a foul mood. If you haven't made them happier (e.g. by using them in battles) by the time the charm wears off, they'll leave you again.
+
-
*Use some combination of non-offensive moves in "battle". If this succeeds, they won't leave you afterwards.
+
-
*You may find wild Pokémon fighting amongst themselves outside of Pokémon Island. If you do, you can join the battle. Pokémon on the side you joined may join you when you win.
+
-
Of course, several main characters are given to you throughout the course of the game story. It is possible but more difficult to beat the game without ever recruiting.
+
Queen Jigglypuff
 +
Queen Jigglypuff is the self-proclaimed queen of Poké Island. However, right at the beginning of episode 1, she is kidnapped by Mewtwo, and spends almost half the game inside Mewtwo's Castle and Lord Meowth's Tower waiting to be rescued. After being rescued, she joins Pikachu in his struggles against the villains of the game.
-
If you have more Pokémon than you can keep in your party, they'll have to stay at your base somewhere, where you can switch characters.
+
Jigglypuff can surprisingly hold her own, despite looking like a total bimbo in the game's opening. She has special Kunai shaped like the playing card suits. She can also flit too and fro in the air. Jigglypuff borrows her Cute Charm ability from the Pokémon games themselves. Jigglypuff has a 30% chance of confusing the enemies when they attack her. Pokémon bosses only have a 15% chance of confusion, and Green/Gary Oak and Delia cannot be confused from the ability.
-
Bosses
+
Jigglypuff's Castle
-
This list contains data on each boss, separated by the Episode in which they appear. Each boss section contains the Area of the island they are fought on, any battle quirks, if there
+
Jigglypuff has a castle named after her, directly on the center of Poké Island. Everything else centers around it, much like the people radiate around the Queen herself. In Episodes 1, 3, and 4, the castle is usually empty, aside from guards and loafing party members. It is more like a museum, as the castle becomes more decorated the more you accomplish throughout the episodes.
-
are any battle quirks, a short character summary, and a possible list of attacks. The bosses are listed in the order they are fought in starting with the first and ending with the last. Attacks are always subject to change.
+
-
Koffing
+
In episode 2, however, Wigglytuff, Queen Jigglypuff's jealous and psychotic sister, joins the forces of Lord Meowth and takes over Jigglypuff's Castle. She then turned it into a giant, death-trapped asylum-like palace. She also built a secret garage and lab, for researching her latest and greatest piece of machinery; the Wigglnaitor. Once Wigglytuff is kicked out, however, the castle is restored to normal for the rest of episode 2.
-
Location: Junkyard.
+
-
He is the most loyal minion to Lord Meowth and Mewtwo. He is also, as to be expected, the weakest. He goes down pretty easily, and attacks very slowly.
+
-
Quirks: This boss has no quirks. It is a standard battle.
+
-
Attacks: Poison Gas, Tackle, Toxic, Smog
+
-
Garydos
+
Negative
-
Location: Dungeon of No Return
+
A Negative is a type of dark entity. Though the origins of the Negatives are unknown, they all share common characteristics, and live in a bizarre mirror dimension known as the Negative World.
-
Garydos is the hideous beast that guards the Dungeon of No Return. Some say Garydos eats the victims trapped in the cells when it floods.
+
-
Quirks: During one attack, Garydos spends an entire turn underwater. Only Electric attacks directed at the water can damage it and make it come back out.
+
-
Attacks: Bite, Headbutt, Ceiling Rocks(Dives underwater, then hits the ceiling to make rocks fall), Dragon Rage, Hydro Pump
+
-
Lord Meowth/Nyaasu
+
A Negative is always an evil or anti-version of an actual person or Pokémon that lives on the real Poké Island. Distinguishing their appearance, however, is a completely black and orange color scheme, and a more demeaning facial expression, with the exception of Negative Red, whom still has nearly identical flesh and hair colors. A common trait among negatives is an aggressive personality. Negatives also have immense power, and rely on both the strength bestowed to them by their normal counterpart, and the strength of the unknown evil power they possess. Despite their aggressive and sociopathic nature, they all work together to achieve their common goal; the expansion of their tiny parallel universe.
-
Location: Lord Meowth's Tower (Tower of Nyaasu)
+
-
Meowth is a major foe, but he seems too modest and humble. He plans on marrying Jigglypuff. He somehow has learned Psychic attacks.
+
-
Quirks: Meowth has a force field. The force field must be shattered before Meowth can be damaged. Meowth will occasionally revive the force field, and the cycle loops.
+
-
Attacks: Scratch, Fury Swipes(Low HP only), Tackle, Pay Day, Thunder, Psybeam, Meditate, Reenact(Revives/Heals Force field(s))
+
-
Mewtwo
+
Gameplay
-
Location: Mewtwo's Castle (first visit)

Depending on the revision of the game in question, the gameplay has jumped around. Originally conceived as a stylized platformer, it eventually became an Action RPG. During it's short time as a sub-engine of Project Nanako, it was more akin to Chrono Trigger, with a recruitment system similar to Mystery Dungeon. Currently, as it is not in development other than the expansion and finalization of the plot + characters, it has returned to the Action RPG system, though User:Chao occasionally has thoughts of trying the concept as a Super Paper Mario Platformer, despite the game's plot intensive nature.

We discovered that later in the game, a mysterious character called 'Lord Nyasu' is one of the enemies. He wants to marry the Queen Purin, who has been kidnapped by Myutsu. Meowth and Myutsu apparently have a close connection. It appears that Pikachu's objective is to rescue Purin from Mystsu and Nyasu.

The overworld appears to have an appealing isometric platformer based situation. Pikachu jumps from ledge to ledge as he avoids many dangerous Pokemon. The Battles appear to be quite frantic, compared to the enjoyable overworld. Pikachu and his friends jump, run, use tag team moves, and even swing swords to accomplish their goals. Running away is as simple as running towards the screens edge.

The top screen displays the status of your friends. It is most important not to let Pikachu die.

We were wondering what would happen to the Humans, and this is what happened. Not much has been revealed, but so far, they seem to be involved with a mysterious hodded boy, whom leads the to fight Musashi and Kojiro (Jessie and James).

Most of what was shown to us was the humans using a reverse version of the "Giant Pocket Transformation". While it has /not/ been said what this trasformation is to be called, we will call it the "Chibi Pocket Transformation". Pikachu can also use this transformation. In this mode, they appear to transform into chibis, which can then shrink down in size.

In the human episode, it appears you play as Satoshi (Ash)! My what a surprise! Satoshi also is bringing his friends from Diamond and Pearl. The Chibi Satoshi, as picture here, resembles his original clothing from the very first Pokemon episodes! How nostalgic and adorable.

Latest revision as of 21:39, 29 December 2013

Pikachu & Squirtle is a hoax Nintendo DS game real PC game vaporware by Chao and Black Amendment. Though it is not in development at the moment, the article remains for archival and sentimental purposes, in case the game is suddenly revived.

Plot

Characters

Pikachu

Lord Meowth

(image)

Deoxys

Deoxys is an associate of Lord Meowth who serves as a reoccurring antagonist. He possesses great power, and is second to only others just as powerful as he. However, unlike his superior, he is quite not afraid to use his full powers to usurp the kingdom of Queen Jigglypuff. He even manages to gain partial control of Mewtwo's Castle at the end of episode 1, and regains partial entity for the finale of episode 3. His motives however, besides bloodthirst and control of Mewtwo's castle, are widely unknown.

Deoxys has the appearance of a Deoxys(obviously), spending most of his time in attack forme. He also wears a brown hooded cloak, with sleeves longer than his tentacles.

The Order

The Order are a group of Pokémon that appear as bosses in Episode 2, and supporting characters thereafter. They (try) to serve as a peace keeping organization, creating a first line of defense and a center for intell. However, sometimes they act aloof, or unfriendly about it, earning them the title "ominous peacemakers". The group consists of Weezing, Slowbro, and Misdreavus serving as the primary head, with Muk serving more behind-the-scenes action.

Misdreavus

Of The Order's members, Misdreavus is the most prolific. She appears to all the primary characters, though she has a particular interest in Pikachu because she finds him rather handsome. She is sassy and has somewhat of a temper, but she is also playful and mischievous. She serves the role of a spy when The Order arrives on the Island, pretending to be one of Meowth's minions. She is a formidable foe in battle, nimble and sure to float out of harms way when you least need it!

The Receptionist

The Receptionist has the appearance of a normal Honckrow, except she has big boobies and wears a pink sun dress. She is quite portly, making her the perfect bird to use for the Big Fat Feast.

The Receptionist bitterly hates Ethan and most of the other humans. She believes they are weak, lazy, cowardly, incompetent, and should disappear of the face of the earth.

Queen Jigglypuff

Queen Jigglypuff is the self-proclaimed queen of Poké Island. However, right at the beginning of episode 1, she is kidnapped by Mewtwo, and spends almost half the game inside Mewtwo's Castle and Lord Meowth's Tower waiting to be rescued. After being rescued, she joins Pikachu in his struggles against the villains of the game.

Jigglypuff's Castle

Jigglypuff has a castle named after her, directly on the center of Poké Island. Everything else centers around it, much like the people radiate around the Queen herself. In Episodes 1, 3, and 4, the castle is usually empty, aside from guards and loafing party members. It is more like a museum, as the castle becomes more decorated the more you accomplish throughout the episodes.

Negative

A Negative is a type of dark entity. Though the origins of the Negatives are unknown, they all share common characteristics, and live in a bizarre mirror dimension known as the Negative World.

Gameplay

Depending on the revision of the game in question, the gameplay has jumped around. Originally conceived as a stylized platformer, it eventually became an Action RPG. During it's short time as a sub-engine of Project Nanako, it was more akin to Chrono Trigger, with a recruitment system similar to Mystery Dungeon. Currently, as it is not in development other than the expansion and finalization of the plot + characters, it has returned to the Action RPG system, though User:Chao occasionally has thoughts of trying the concept as a Super Paper Mario Platformer, despite the game's plot intensive nature.

Generally, in all variations, the overworld has remained the same: a 3D or pseudo 3D environment in which Pikachu and/or his fellow party members are controlled. Solving puzzles and mild-to-moderate platforming are key in dungeons, with some puzzles or segments revolving around abilities Pikachu and his partners must use conjointly. Examples of such actions include using Squirtle to swim across a body of water, or perhaps using Clefairy's gravity to make a floating object fall towards the ground.
