Planetary Hearts are the hearts of planets in Compile Worlds 2. Their purpose is to pump a planet's Life Energy throughout the planet to sustain it. Life Energy, which is essentially the planet's equivalent of blood, helps sustain both the planet itself and the life on it. Ecolo demonstrated in Episode 44 that poking holes in the heart causes a leakage of this energy, which causes the planet to collapse and explode. Primp's Planetary Heart was destroyed, and it's life energy was used to begin the process of creating an artificial planet that did not require life energy.
