The Spin Jump is a form of jumping and an attack in the Sonic series. It is the signature move of pretty much every Sonic character in existence, save notable examples Amy Rose and Dr. Eggman. If a Sonic character can't perform some version of this attack, they're either awesome (Amy), move around in some kind of vehicle (Eggman), or are the new guy that was introduced in a game to have gimmicky gameplay (we're looking at you, Big the Cat). It is related to the Spin Dash, another classic Sonic series maneuver. Generally, if a character can perform one, they can perform the other, but this is not always the case.
