Earthbound (MOTHER 2 in Japan) is an RPG brought to you by Shigesato Itoi and his henchmen. Unlike {{#linkfarm|Final Fantasy|Dragon Quest|other JPRGs}} of its time that features Europe forever ago, which means swords and goblins, it features retro America, which means baseball bats and stray dogs. And that's just one reason why it's awesome. So, go get a copy and learn its sheer awesomeness.
Anyway, the story mostly takes place in America Eagleland and is about an ordinary little boy with psychic powers and {{#linkfarm|Paula Jones|Jeff Andonuts|Poo|his new friends}} going to save the world because of a certain incident. They travel around the world gathering some music for the Sound Stone for a purpose. Obviously, many things stand in their way to victory, including, but not limited to, aliens, hippies, crows, spilled coffee, exploding trees and stop signs.
