Perfect Cherry Blossom is the second game in the Windows Touhou series (making it the seventh overall). Apart from a boatload of new characters, slightly different music, new danmaku patterns and a ridiculous death margin that makes Reimu's gameplay way too easy, it's exactly the same as Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. The storyline-for-the-sake-of-a-storyline in this game is a quest to get Gensokyo's Spring back from scary ghosts... and to plunder cats' villages of their treasure. Whomever knew Reimu could be such a jerk?
It's also here that we see Alice Margatroid from Mystic Square all grown up. Children grow fast these days... *sniff*
While the best music in this game obviously has to be the Stage 5 boss theme (which is obviously a remix of the Stage 5 boss theme of EoSD, which is obviously the best music in that game too), perhaps its greatest musical achievement was Alice's theme, as this led to Marisa stealing the precious thing.
Also, you can play as Sakuya in this game for the first time. Huzzah!
