A kemonomimi is basically the Japanese term for furry, literally meaning "animal ears". It's most often used to describe someone with (real) animal ears, tail, sometimes paws but no other traits. The term can be subdivided into nekomimi (猫耳, cat people), usagimimi (rabbit people), inumimi (dog people) and so on.
