Red Mage (EntityClass, 26)

Red Mages are the most epic mage type ever conceived. They're one of the few exceptions to the mutual exclusion between offensive mage classes and melee classes, so you quite often see them with a sword, and don't forget their pimp hat. The only mage class that comes anywhere near being as cool as the red mage is the White Mage, since they have healing magic and a decent hammer. In FFXI-speak, Red Mage is often abbreviated to RDM, not to be confused with that DRM bullshit.
Red Mages can cast pretty much any kind of spell known to man and can convert all their HP into MP thus making them unstoppable, and even if they ever do run out of MP they can still use their sword until their MP is all refreshed. In battle, an enemy RDM can seriously mess you up. They have the power to make you weak as a kitten and slowly eat your life away before it goes stabby stabby with their magically enchanted sword or boomy boomy with it's magical nukes. Don't think of fighting back either cause red mages can cast stoneskin and phalanx making your attacks feel like a tickle and heal back any HP you take away! HAH!
Red Mages are currently at war with the bards because they steal their spots in parties with their similar refreshing abilities and annoying flute music.
The only thing that can defeat an RDM is Maat, cause he's a dirty cheating bastard.
