Windows Eight is the next upcoming version of Windows. Like its predecessor Windows Seven, it is a misnomer, as it is actually version 6.2. Microsoft officially call it "Windows 8", which is just as confusing.

Some theorize that Windows 8 will cause the apocalypse, since Windows 8 logo testing for motherboards and PCs will require Secure Boot to be enabled by default and recommends against allowing it to be disabled - some manufacturers have already expressed their intentions to not allow disabling it. This would stop consumers from being able to run any other operating system, such as Linux.
