The Spiky-Haired Protagonist (SHP) is one of the two most often seen anime stereotypes. Usually, these characters are young teenage boys or young adults, with spiky hair in (usually) bright colors. The boys are often naive, mischievous, and have a strong sense of justice. Occasionally, you will find a SHP who is downright boyish or disgusting. And as you'd know by now, this is just a very common hair stereotype.
