Max Tate (マックス・テイト Makkusu Teito) (or Max Mizuhara (水原マックス Mizuhara Makkusu) if you want to follow the Japanese version) is a silly, cute kid in the Bladebreakers who is half American, half Japanese. He's often seen flirting with girls but he really just likes to get futaraped by Mariam.

In the second season he wears a really stupid looking shirt with an off-center star on it, but his dress sense improved in the third season where he goes back to his eye-blinding colour combo of green and orange. He also had a tendency to slather mustard (mayonnaise in the Japanese version) on EVERYTHING he eats especially on his favourite meal udon noodles much to everyone else's disgust.

As if to complement his lameness, his bit-beast is a fucking turtle which has been lost to bad guys THREE fucking times.

In the dub of G Revolution, Max's balls dropped and his voice broke.
