Red and blue flowers adorn the screen, circling clockwise, until all the flowers turn red. Suddenly, Koishi.

Koishi-chan is a very ordinary youkai girl who really loves taking a walk. <o3
Koishi-chan, who chose to take a walk to the lake under the sunset for god knows what reason, decided to catch some fish for her family in Chireiden.
And now, Koishi's big adventure begins.
At a flowerbed near the lake, hat-friend-wearing Koishi looks down upon a flower. "My my~ It's a really beautiful flower~♥ Since it's such a beautiful flower, I'll have a look at flower fortune telling with me and my sister ♥"
"My sister... Loves me ♥... Hates me... Loves me ♥... Hates me... Loves me ♥... Hates me... Loves me. ♥"
The last petal is left on the flower. "How beautiful. ♥"

A grasshopper is torn apart. —Sorry, grasshopper-san
"I knew my sister and I fit together so well. ♥ I didn't need to check it at all. ♥"
"Now then. It's about time I went fishing. ♥ Everyone would be hungry at home. That aside, it's a really big puddle. Plus it's really amazing that parts of it are frozen~ ♥"
She stares across the lake lovingly, towards the edge of the ice. "Ah ♥ I've got a good idea- Since I've found a frozen lake, I'll do that for once. I've always wanted to make a hole in the ice and try some fishing. But to do that, I will need a fishing pole since it looks unsightly to just grab it with my hands. I wonder if there is any way I could get one."
She produces a book out of nowhere and has a look through. —Keiji: I have no idea why she was carrying that book, but she must have had it on her the entire time...
"According to this book my sister gave me for my birthday, it looks like there is a building nearby called the Scarlet Devil Mansion. I'll just borrow a fishing pole from there. In times of trouble, Love & Peace. ♥ Because humanity is one big family. ♥"
Her eyes flicker. —Girl is moving...

She looks ahead, the Scarlet Devil Mansion is in sight, complete with gatekeeper Hong Meiling. "Looks like it's this place. It's really red just like in the book. ♥ The way it looks like blood is really beautiful. <o3 I wonder if the insides are more reddish?"
She steps forward excitedly. "Ah well, that's okay at any rate. ♥ First I'll borrow a fishing pole. ♥"
She grabs a hold of the handle to the giant red gates. "Excuse me~♥"

"Wait, lady over there, stop, stop!!"
She turns around to the direction of the voice. "Who are you?"
The gatekeeper's cap contains a bright yellow star, with the kanji 龍 inside (dragon). "Don't you 'who are you' me. That's my line. I am the gatekeeper of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, and I am loyal to this place. I cannot let somebody in without permission. Now that I said my name, it's your turn. Where are you from, and explain why you have come here."
"My name is Koishi. It's Komeiji Koishi, Ms. Gatekeeper. I came from Chireiden and I came here to borrow a fishing rod."
Meiling thinks to herself. 'Chireiden!? Now that I think about it, there was a hell-crow from there, who wanted to overrule the world. If she's a friend of hers, then she can't be normal. I'll just talk her into leaving.'
Meiling waves her hands as she attempts to explain. "I'm sorry Ms. Komeiji, but not only is there no fishing pole in there, but I also can't just say 'Oh, I see' and let an outsider in either. I'm sorry, but can you look somewhere else?"
"Eh!? I, I see..." Koishi considers.
"Aah, I'm sorry, since you came all the way from the underground."
Koishi can't help but feel a growing dislike for this gatekeeper. She didn't come all this way to be turned around... Suddenly she points to the sky behind Meiling. "Ah, it's a UFO!" she exclaims.
"Wha, seriously!? Is it a real one!? ... You lied to me, there's nothing there!! ... What are you doing!?"
Koishi had taken a run up to the gate, now attempting to climb over them. Gatan, gatan, the gates clatter drawing attention to her.
"Hey!! What are you doing!! Get away from the gates!!"
"There won't be any use to talk to a gatekeeper who just stands outside spacing out the whole day!! If I ask someone inside, they should be able to at least let me borrow a fishing pole!!"
"That's why I said you need permission, why won't you listen!?"
Koishi's battering on the gates were getting more and more pronounced. "I can get permission when I am inside the mansion!! Look, it's a huge mansion!! It would be more weird if there isn't a fishing pole inside!!"
"If you keep this up..."
"Hey, owner of the mansion!! You're inside, right!! Come out right now!!"
There was no response.
"Stop hiding and come out, stupid owner!! Are you scared of me!? Is the only thing great about you the mansion!? What a sight!!"
She screams with her mouth wide as it can get. "GIVE ME A FISHING POLE-!"
Silence.
"Calm down already!" Meiling steps in and punches Koishi to the ground. Her hat falls off beside her. "Did you forget what I said in the beginning!? This is a gate and I am a gatekeeper!! Even if it means I will lose my life, I won't let an enemy in!! Don't ever do this again!! If you follow the procedure, I will let you in."
Ambience.
"You hit me..." Koishi begins to push herself up with her fists.
"Anyway, the sun is going to set soon, so go back for now. Your family will be worried. Around these parts, there's a lot of hungry youkai during the night. Listening to me won't hurt, so go back."
More ambience.
Koishi steps over to her hat, gently patting it before picking it up. "The hat is my friend. ♥" She puts it back on with a wide grin. "It makes me at ease."
Her pupils rise to the very tops of her eyes as if trying to look inside her hat. "Hey, Mr. Hat, Mr. Hat- ♥ That lady won't let me in. What should we do?" Her grin widens further, baring all her teeth. "Indeed~ That's a great idea, Mr. Hat. ♥ You look like you're so anxious. ♥"
Meiling interrupts the conversation with her hat-friend. "Hey!! Just what are you talking to yourself about!? Can't you understand me!? Go back underground now!! If you don't, you'll get hurt again!!"
Koishi pauses before revealing her grin. "No. The one who will get hurt is you, Ms. Gatekeeper. ♥" The two stand opposite each other, about ten feet apart.
"You talk very big for a small frame."
"Hey, I don't know whether you're strong with danmaku, but your body looks like it's really weak. Plus, there's no need to even talk about fighting in this range."
"I can defeat you before you shoot your danmaku, but you still wish to fight with me? If you want to quit, now is your only chance."
Silence.
No more needs to be said. To Meiling's surprise, her 'guest' simply disappears. "Wha?! What the!? Where did she disappear to!? Where..."

Koishi reappears, now ten feet the other side of Meiling. Blood can be seen dripping from the fingers of Koishi's left hand... and spurting from Meiling's chest. A piece of her green dress can be seen aside, though it's not clear as to where it had torn.
"Yes. It's over~ ♥ Ah yes, I forget to tell you, but I can control the subconscious mind ♥ If I take my subconscious to the extremes my presence will 'vanish'... For example, even if your eyes can recognise me, your brain can't. That's what it means to have my presence 'vanish'."
Koishi turns her back to Meiling in dismissal. "Jeez, don't make me waste my strength. Now then, with a new mindset... Please Excuuuse meee~"
Ambience.
"Meiling...?"
"Why are you sleeping there?"
"Hey, let's play together today too, Meeeiling..."
"Hey!! I hate this, Meiling!! Wake up!!"
"Hey!! Normally you would jump up even when you're sleeping!!"
"Stop doing this mean prank on me, Meeeiling!!"
She's slapped hard in an attempt to arouse her.
"Meeeeiiiillliiinnnggg!!"

"...I see."
"You... Someone broke you..."
"It must have hurt a lot... You poor thing..."
"But, don't worry Meiling. I promise to find the one that broke you..."
Flandre's eyes glow red in the darkness.
"...and rip her apart until no one can even find a trace of her remains."
