A fang is a sharp body part similar to a claw, however its main purpose (in real-world anatomy, at least) is to break up food for consumption, rather than for grip.

Fangs are also commonly seen on vampires and similar species for the purpose of sucking blood. Or, in Karin's case, injecting blood.
