13,256,278,887,989,457,651,018,865,901,401,704,640 (1.326x1037 in scientific notation to four significant figures), more commonly known for its hexadecimal representation of 09F9 1102 9D74 E35B D841 56C5 6356 88C0, is an innocent number that was kidnapped by the DMCA for use as a DVD key in a stupid anti-piracy movement. When it was first published on the internet, the MPAA and AACS LA demanded it be taken down. However, this only caused the number to reach further widespread publicity. It is a fine example of how you cannot take ownership of a number, and thus, by extension, an idea.
