In Sorte Diaboli is Dimmu Borgir's 8th studio album. It was number 1 on the charts in Norway, and people in America liked it a lot too. The Serpentine Offering and The Sacrilegious Scorn are both singles off of the album, and they both have music videos.

Production

The album is without a doubt the most epic ever recorded, with fucking brutal Orchestral sounds and keyboards along with chugging guitars mostly in D standard. It most likely easy for them to write it, since all they had to do was make 10 songs with "hail Satan 666 rawr". However, they stayed away from their more Satanic atomosphere from earlier albums, since Satan obviously isn't epic enough to be a part of this album. Instead, they took a more formal approach, creating the first in a six-part concept album. Hellhammer, their drummer, also wows us with his amazing bass pedal skills. A good example of this is during the first verse of The Serpentine Offering.
