Fusion Global was the successor to InvHost 2006. IH06 had been renamed to Fusion Network for a brief time, but the latter word was changed to Global because of a domain name clash. Both names originated from the fact that the website was supposed to be for online interactivity related to Fusion, a major project of Keiji's at the time, which he later abandoned. The domain name fusion-global.org was bought on April 19, 2007, but has expired after the move to this website's successor, Team Ikaria.

Fusion Global introduced many new features which were only seen in this incarnation. These include the Web Challenge, a usage rating, AJAX user profile editing, integrated 43 Places home town selection, user word counts, translation features and several experimental online games which were also abandoned. Fusion Global was the last website to feature a forum; the forum was ditched due to inactivity. It was also the last website to use tables for layout and the last to not validate as XHTML.
