Bugsy is a bishounen Gym Leader in Pokémon 2 and it's subsequent remakes. He (yes, he) is the second gym leader Ethan/Krys/Lyra must face, being the Gym Leader of Azalea Town. He specializes in Bug type Pokémon, as and has his gym decorated to match such. Bugsy's signature Pokemon is Sycther, which specializes in U-Turn in the remakes.

Generally, he is more annoying in the remakes than he was in the original, also appearing more effeminate than ever thanks to Ken Sugimori's revamped art style. The gym's layout in the remake was altered to include Spinarak-like pods that traveled on ropes, and changed direction at any intersection and continued to follow the rope, making it incredibly annoying to navigate the place, and impossible to avoid any of his evil common trainer minions along the way. Further adding to this is that he relinquishes the useless U-Turn TM.

Bugsy also happened to appear in Pokémon Stadium 2 and Pokémon Puzzle Challenge like his fellow peers. In Staduim 2, his tower of the Gym Leader Castle is almost as easy as Falkener's. In Puzzle Challenge, he uses a Kakuna as oppossed to a Sycther.
