IQ stands for intelligence quote. It is a measure of how smart one particular person is, but having a big IQ doesn't always mean that you actually are smarter. Take Dr. Eggman and Tails for example. Usually, it is written as a number. A number lower than 100 is not very intelligent, above 100 is generally smart, 300 is Eggman, 444 is fail, and if your IQ is over 9000, the machine that tested you is probably broken].
