Reimu never gets anything in her donation box... It's a little sad, really. I wonder just how she makes money though.

Marisa destroyed the old one.

[Reimu and Marisa walk off to the west, to a central area. Although it's not as central as you'd hope later on, we'll be coming back here a lot.]

Supposedly Yuka's actually quite fond of Wriggle, and she shows her affection by... beating Wriggle up.

[Cirno takes a step backwards.]

(Battle omitted. Interestingly, she plays the normal enemy defeated sound when she dies, unlike most bosses. Perhaps Cirno doesn't count as a boss?)
(For reference, Reimu starts with PK Dream α and PK Healing α. Marisa starts with just PK Beam α. Yuka, in addition to being so slow she always moves last, has no bombs at all.)

[Cirno gets kicked way up into the air. Completely intentionally.]

Ahahahaha! Thanks!
NOW I'm satisfied!

[Marisa]
...Sorry. She was completely uninteresting.
Oh well. Let's go find something else to do.

[A meteor suddenly falls from the sky, knocking the still-airborne Cirno off on a new course as it does so.]

Something fell from the sky?!

Reimu!
Did the Hakurei border break or what?!

The Hakurei border keeps everything out of Gensokyo. How would... oh well!

...This is intruiguing...

[Yuka]
...Well then, let's not waste time.

Let's go find out what it is!

[Marisa]

[Yuka walks off to the left. Very slowly.]

[Reimu and Marisa easily overtake Yuka.]

[Reimu and Marisa arrive at a fork. They came from the right, and a sign informs them that the [[]]arlet Devil Mansion is to the left, but not what is up. There is no path down.]

[Going up, they encounter the first mook of the game, a Mr. Ghosty.]

[Reimu and Marisa continue up the path encountering more Mr. Ghosties along the way. At the end is a patch of mushrooms, which they eat to restore health.]

...Though there might be a secondary effect.

[Reference to Mother 3, where upon eating some mushrooms you had an... experience.]

[Reimu and Marisa come to a meteorite impacted in the ground.]

[Marisa]
...So this is that thing that fell from the sky?

[Marisa runs up close to inspect it.]
...But what is it?
...I don't have the slightest idea...

I mean it, ze.

[Suddenly a figure appears on top of the meteor in a flash of light.]

A new land. A whole *click* world.

Aw crap, it's a Starman Junior!

[Reimu looks around.]

[Everyone looks over to the right, where Reimu noticed something.]

[Marisa]

[Ahead of them is an overweight, blond-haired boy who appears to be out cold.]

[Scarlet Devil Mansion]
[The whole mansion shakes violently as something crashes into it. Meiling, the gatekeeper, is standing outside asleep... and no, even this quake doesn't rouse her.]

[Patchouli's room]
[It turns out the "something" was Marisa, Reimu and Porky... and there's now a big hole in the side of Patchouli's wall. How strange that there wasn't a window on that wall.]

[Patchouli]
...Oh, Marisa.
...Couldn't you have used the entrance?
