Hatsune Miku: Project Diva is a video game released in 2009 for the Sony PSP Starring Miku Hatsune of internet fame. Sega has proven though it messes up a lot of other genres it is still quite good at rhythm games. The core game-play is like an odd hybrid of Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan and Idol M@ster: Live for You!where timed targets appear in patterns on the screen over wonderfully composed 3D PVs of Miku dancing and lip syncing to the music and score you from worst to cool depending on how accurate your timing is. If you can keep getting Fine and Cool you can create a combo. The goal is to keep your power meter up while obtaining as many points as possible. Each song has a challenge section were you have a chance to gain bonus points and not have to worry about your power meter.

This game contains a lot of catering to fans of the Vocaloid franchise including: wonderfully rendered fanart sent in by fans, all the other Vocaloids (sans Gakupo) including fan created Yowane Haku and Akita Neru. There is also a mode which allows you to pep in at Miku in her bedroom wearing any one of the unlockable outfits while listening to playable and extra songs.
