LOL stands for Laugh Out Loud. It is one of the oldest acronyms in the book. If you didn't know about it before now, you are a n00b.
Variations
- Lul
- is Dutch for dick.
- Lulz
- is a Corruption of LOL, apparently used all over /b/.
- Lolz
- is LOL's phreakspeak form, not to be confused with the above lulz.
- Loooool
- (with any number of o's) is an Extension of LOL, used for emphasis.
- Lawl
- is also used for emphasis.
- Law
- is the second best career for making fun of, the first being politics.
