== Etymology ==
Nanako was bought in early [[2008]]. [[User:Keiji/List of computers at ~'s home|Keiji's usual naming scheme]] is cYYYY, where Y is the year of purchase. However, "c2008" was already taken by his awesome new laptop, meaning he had to come up with a new name. Eventually she was named after [[Nanako Dojima]] from [[Persona 4]] during some otherwise inconsequential [[AIM chat]].

== 2012 Up-and-down-grade ==
As of Sun July 22, 2012, Nanako is running on older hardware, but newer software. This was done because Keiji acquired an older, but still perfectly fine PC, which had no PCI-E slots; however, Nanako had a PCI-E x16 slot which had never been used, and he needed one of those to main Linux without disrupting c2009 again. So, he swapped them over. The older computer became Nanako, and Nanako's original hardware will become main (and ironically, be renamed to c2008, since the laptop which previously took that name is now gone).
