The '''Banshee Trio''', sometimes mistakenly called '''Trio the Banshee''' even by [[Compile|their own creators]], are a [[three|trio]] of [[ghost]]s in the [[Puyo series]]. Being minor enemies originating in [[Puyo Puyo TSU]], their primary role is to make fun of the protagonist [[Arle Nadja]] and annoy the hell out of her with silly [[Japanese]] onomatopoeias. Their de-facto leader appears to be a [[green]] haired girl named '''Merigu''', who is flanked by the [[red]] haired '''Shosu''' and the [[blonde]] cutie '''Emii'''.

The Banshee trio are [[obvious]]ly named as such because they are a trio of [[wikipedia:Banshee|Banshees]].

*Each of the three members of the trio has a separate birthday:
**Merigu's is [[November 26th]] (11/26)
**Shosu's is [[May 26th]] (05/26)
**And Emii's is [[March 26th]] (03/26)
**As you can see, all of them were born (or killed, since they're ghosts) on the 26th day of their respective month. Pretty clever, no?
