A beauty contest, sometimes known as a beauty pageant, is a kind of contest where (usually female) people compete to see who is the most beautiful or sexually appealing to the audience and/or a panel of judges. The winner usually just gets bragging rights, but sometimes they also come with things like money, chocolate, pretty dresses and shiny trophies.
Beauty contests are the number one passtime of Draco Centauros, and she goes out of her way to win all beauty contests possible. Sometimes she also hosts them, just to piss Arle off and get in her way. Notable beauty contests in Compile Worlds include the one held on Rakuti Highway and the one held in the light temple, where Arle and Lagnus temporarily switched clothes (and weapons).
