Once upon a time, there lived an adorable little Pokémon called Mew<s>one</s>. Alongside this (and other) Pokémon lived humans. Amongst these humans are a bunch of curious scientists who wanted to create the strongest Pokémon by themselves. So, they searched for that very Mew. And of course, they found it... and for some reason, it's pregnant. So, they decided to do all kinds of experiments with its embryo...

And thus, Mewtwo was born.

But, alas! Tragedy struck, for the aforementioned experiments have rendered Mewtwo too strong, smart and merciless for these foolish scientists, and so many of them were purged, and the Pokémon Mansion in Cinnabar Island was, to say the least, ruined, and the Genetic Pokémon proceeded to take refuge in Cerulean Cave, cut off from human contact...

... until the events of Pokémon 1, where a young trainer had dared enter the cave, having nothing better to do after having defeated the Elite Four. He went deep enough to meet Mewtwo... well, whether you captured him or not, I don't really know. But the easiest way is through the Master Ball. Actually, I don't really know why Mewtwo just decided to spar with an eleven-year-old human instead of outright killing him like last time, less do I know how Mewtwo, an artificial killing machine, was able to open its heart to said human. But, whatever. What matters is that he was able to, and so they battled trainers far and wide together (Along with other PokéFriends, of course) and they lived happily ever after. ☆
