The '''Crystal Orb''' is pretty much [[exactly what it says on the tin]]. It is an object of immense power, created to be a [[plot device]]-slash-[[Mac Guffin]] in [[Sonic RPG]]. The Orb brims with immense power, and anyone wielding it can eventually become capable of tossing around it's magic like a moron, including the [[Death Bolt]]. In Sonic RPG's sequels, it is revealed that the Crystal Orb is actually an imprisonment for the demon [[Cornelia]], and that the orb itself has no real power other than hosting within it [[Crystal Orb Zone|an endless, empty space for the souls trapped in it]]. Being made of [[crystal]], the orb is quite fragile, thus making it a literal [[glass cannon]]. If one is to shatter the orb, it would break into countless pieces, as fragmenting the souls trapped within it.

The Orb also exists in the fanon that the Sonic RPG series is based on, but it's importance has been demoted over time.
